Truckman, the manufacturer and supplier of 4×4 accessories, has bolstered its sales team with a handful of new additions.
Steve Waltho (pictured), has returned to the Dudley-based company as Field Sales Manager, following a three-year spell working in the motor trade with an Isuzu dealership selling the D-Max pick-up truck. There he remained a loyal Truckman customer, specifying hardtops and tonneau covers, to his pick-up customers.
Truckman has recruited Waltho to manage business to business customer relations and promote its extensive range of vehicle accessories. Waltho is responsible for field sales across the UK and is tasked to grow sales and increase brand and product awareness, working closely with new and existing customers.
He said: “I am thrilled to return to Truckman; I have always kept close ties with the company throughout my time at the Isuzu dealership. I am excited to move into a bigger role as Field Sales Manager, as I am confident that I can apply my experience in the industry and use my familiarity with Truckman’s products and services, to grow its sales further.”
Also, Mark Stidston, who has two decades experience in the motor trade and water treatment industries, with expertise in corporate sales and managing national accounts, joins the firm as Sales Office Manager. Stidson, who was previously Regional Manager at Dakro Environmental Services, is responsible for sales strategy, business development and client relationship as well as helping develop Truckman’s 12 office-based sales staff.
He said: “Truckman is a highly-respected brand with an excellent reputation across the motor industry and the sectors it serves. The business has built a strong and talented sales team, which I am delighted to be leading and look forward to further developing Truckman’s market position and building relationships with new and existing customers.”
Meanwhile, Eolyn Simmonds joins as a Sales Executive after 14 years with parcel carrier DPD. She had progressed to the role of Senior Sales Executive with the distribution company, developing account management experience and business generation expertise. According to Truckman, the growth in its sales force reflects the increased demand for its expanding range of vehicle accessories.
