Surrey based, Britaniacrest Recycling has taken delivery of nine new Volvo trucks to boost its operations in the south east of England.
The group of FE, FMX and FH models join a Volvo dominated fleet of more than 45 vehicles. Eight of the new Volvos delivered are rigid chassis and these were all ordered with factory fitted lower passenger door glazing panels for increased safety levels.
Two 18 tonne FE 4×2 skip loaders were specified with D8K engines producing 250hp and Hyva skip loader bodies with the maker’s Easy Sheet systems. Richard Foss, Director at Britaniacrest said: “Our strong working partnership with MC Truck and Bus Ltd, permits us to focus on our day to day operations.
“There is no long, drawn out process with vehicle ordering, I just call up Sales Director Steve Moon and tell him what we need. He knows our preferred specifications inside out, so one phone call is all it takes.
“In the past we’ve used Volvo FL skip vehicles, but the I-Shift gearbox is a big attraction with the FEs. The drivers love it, it needs no intervention.”
