TotalKare has installed a set of eight cable-free T8DC mobile column lifts for Newport Pagnell-based CMG Rescue, along with supporting workshop equipment including a transmission jack, trailer beam and axle support stands.
Usable in configurations of four, six or eight columns it can lift all vehicles in CMG’s fleet, from light commercial vans to its 38-tonne heavy recovery vehicles. Adjustable forks mean a range of wheel diameters can be accommodated and its cable-free nature means the risk of slips, trips and falls in the workshop are significantly reduced.
Each column is capable of lifting up to 7,500kg and use of a trailer beam in conjunction with the T8DC enables trailers to be raised for maintenance, while the transmission jack is ideal for handling gearboxes and engines in most workshop situations, especially when removing units via the underside of a vehicle is the only option. TotalKare will support the lift installation with an AfterKare service package including two service visits per year and Reports of Thorough Examination.
Sean Warren, Fleet Manager at CMG Rescue said: “We spoke to several suppliers after initially making contact at the Commercial Vehicle Show in 2017. TotalKare was the only company who remained in touch from the initial enquiry through to order placement.”
