Bus Vannin, which looks after ambulances on the Isle of Man, has expanded its capacity by instaling two light commercial four post lifts from TotalKare in its workshop.
The light commercial four post lifts provide a lifting capacity of 6,500kg and a range of platform lengths from 5.1 to 6m. There are jacking beams and lighting options available, and the ability for them to be surface mounted or recessed. The purchase follows a restructure five years ago bringing the maintenance of the ambulance fleet under the Isle of Man Transport umbrella.
Karl Woolford, engineering manager at Bus Vannin, said: “We were pleased to hear that TotalKare were introducing their new light commercial four post lift which has improved the working environment for the maintenance team. “We have been using TotalKare’s heavy duty mobile column lifts to service and maintain our bus fleet for some time now so we knew the product would be up to the task, and accompanied with TotalKare’s comprehensive aftermarket support, invaluable on an island in the middle of the Irish Sea. We are extremely happy with the new product.”
