Mercedes EActros

Hamburg supermarkets receive deliveries electrically now: Mercedes-Benz Trucks hands over eActros to Meyer-Logistik

The truck is able to carry out its refrigerated deliveries comfortably inside the 200km range achieved with a full charge.

In total there will be twenty different customers involved in the trial of these electric trucks – all of which will be on the road by the end of this year.

The refrigerated unit is the “W.KO COOL” model supplied by Schmitz Cargobull. This robust body is ideally suited for intensive day-to-day use. The purely electrically operated cooling unit functions completely emission-free and is specially designed for use in distribution traffic.

Mercedes-Benz is hoping to have these trucks available for purchase by 2021, although there has been no mention of the cost of these vehicles as yet.
