Bell Truck & Van are poised to supply Findley Roofing & Building with 10 Mercedes-Benz vans.
The company, based in Washington, Tyne and Wear, is already running 26 Mercedes-Benz vehicles, all of which were supplied by Bell Truck and Van.
The manufacturer’s representative in the North-East is currently processing orders for a further 10 vans, which are scheduled for delivery before the end of 2017.
Managing Director Grant Findley has added 10 3.5-tonne Sprinter 314 CDI chassis cabs to the fleet. They include dropside bodies incorporating locking toolboxes, which were built to Findley’s specification by Tyneside Coachworks, of Gateshead.
They are now working alongside six Sprinter 314 CDI panel vans. As Premium Edition models, these came with a package of extras including integrated Becker® MAP PILOT satellite navigation and Audio 15 colour screen infotainment systems, TEMPMATIC air-conditioning, comfort driver’s seats with arm-rests, outside temperature indicators, chrome effect grilles, and special wheel trims and badging.
Grant Findley recalled: “We had been running vans by another manufacturer but they just weren’t reliable enough. I’d heard some very positive reports about Mercedes-Benz vehicles, so contacted Bell Truck & Van to see what they could offer.
“I was immediately impressed by the Dealer’s professional approach. Sales specialist Mick Barnes took the time to understand our requirements in detail, rather than just trying to sell us something ‘off the shelf’. The Agility finance package is also keenly priced, and allows us to keep our options open until the end of the term.”
He continued: “Our Mercedes-Benz vehicles are certainly living up to my high expectations. They are built to an extremely high standard and performing brilliantly. Drivers tell me the comfort, ride quality and handling are excellent, even when fully loaded.”
