Lookers Glasgow Darnley Volkswagen Van Centre has announced a sponsorship deal with Elite League Ice Hockey side Braehead Clan.
The commercial van dealership will partner with The Clan for the 2017/18 season, with the business’ logo featuring on the team’s jersey, around the Braehead Arena and on the ice.
This is the first time Lookers Glasgow Darnley Volkswagen Van Centre and Braehead Clan have partnered up, with the move described as ‘exciting’ by both parties.
Andy McLaughlin, Commercial Director of the Braehead Clan, said: “We were approached by Lookers Glasgow Darnley Volkswagen Van Centre and from there it was easy to reach an agreement.
“Like ourselves they are at the heart of the community and it’s great for both the van centre and Braehead Clan to raise each other’s’ profile.
“These are exciting times for Braehead Clan, we’re the fastest growing sports brand in Scotland, and for us to attract mainstream brands such as Volkswagen it shows we’re moving in the right direction.”

In addition to the deal the van centre will also be sponsoring Craig Peacock for the season.
