If you work on Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler or Jeep ranges, you may want to consider investing in the LaserTools Timing Chain Splitter and Fitter Kit for use on timing chains across these ranges.
The kit includes a link removal tool, a link assembly tool, and a section of swaging jaws for pressing and swaging operations that cover single and duplex chains in these engines. Link removal pins, assembly and threading links are also included, and the OEM reference numbers are cross-referenced to ensure the correct component is used in the correct engine.
Also available from LaserTools is the Brake Fluid Boiling Point Tester, which is designed to measure the boiling point of brake fluid quickly and accurately. Simply use the supplied syringe to collect a sample, transfer it to the small glass container and place the probe into the fluid. It works on all grades of brake fluid, and the LCD screen displays the temperature the fluid has boiled at and recommends whether it should be changed.
The device is quick and easy to use, and allows you to offer customers accurate information. You can also easily check the calibration and accuracy of the device by testing the boiling point of clean water – if it boils at 100°C
then it is 100% accurate.
