This key appointment will appeal to a high energy, senior level Van/LCV or automotive sales leader with a real track record of delivering business growth. The client is the largest van and commercial vehicle distributor in Birmingham, a prestigious and highly successful £80m subsidiary of a major Group. The business has a long standing reputation for the supply of premium products and the delivery of world class service. This division supplies high quality new and used vans, light commercial vehicles and aftersales services through a multi-site network around the Midlands. With significant opportunities for future growth, a talented Van/LCV or automotive sales leader is required to take this division to the next level.
The sales proposition is compelling – market leading products, major growth opportunities, high calibre people and a real passion for success. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for the Van/LCV sales division, providing inspirational leadership to a high achieving team in both fleet and retail sales. Your remit will be to maximise profitability and performance, delivering a world class customer experience, whilst ensuring the achievement of profit margins in line with Group expectations. Strategically you will work closely with the MD, your team and the manufacturer to deliver business objectives. In addition to achievement of volume sales and profitability……developing and coaching a highly motivated team, KPI setting, performance evaluation and building a first class relationship with the manufacturer will feature high on your agenda.
You are likely to be a dynamic, high achieving Sales Director, or perhaps an “up and coming” Sales Manager looking for that next career step. Either way, you will have a great track record of managing teams and exceeding target objectives within the Van/LCV or automotive distributor environment. Commercially and financially astute, and with excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, you will drive the team to new levels of performance using your first class sales leadership and people management capability. You will be tenacious, resilient, comfortable leading by example, and above all passionate about achieving success for you and your team.
