P J and J Dearden (Chard) Ltd, haulage and aggregate supplier to the building industry, has taken delivery of its first ever Renault Truck.
Supplied by Renault Trucks South West, the new T460 6×2 tractor unit is a replacement for a Mercedes Actros and joins Dearden’s 8-strong Iveco, Volvo and Scania fleet.
The relationship with Renault Trucks South West and the vehicle’s performance, especially during test drives, were the key factors in Dearden’s vehicle selection.
Commenting on the decision to bring the company’s first Euro 6 Renault into its fleet, Dearden’s Owner Director, Helen Dearden said: “We started looking for a new vehicle at the CV Show and we were interested to find out more about the Renault. One of our drivers then trialled the new Range T at a Renault Trucks open day event and was really impressed. The vehicle has only been on the road a couple of weeks and we have been delighted by the payload and fuel efficiency, especially on some of the more testing Cornish roads.”
