We can get a sneak preview of how the next release of Nissan’s new Navara will look, since the new model has been launched in Thailand.
With design cues from the Murano and more recent facelift of the Qashqai passenger cars, the Navara’s new face is less aggressive than the outgoing model.
The new pick up may keep the Navara brand name, but will in all likelihood add the NP300 (Nissan Pick Up) name.
The Navara is likely to weigh less than the current model with a lower roof height, but greater ground clearance plus a larger load bay.
No single cab, but customers will be able to opt for King- or double-cabs.The pick up also gets a new interior, including dashboard and upgraded materials.
The turning circle has been reduced and – for Thailand at leaset, the pick up will come with improved versions of Nissan’s 2.5-liter DOHC in-line 4-cylinder Diesel engine with maximum power of 140kW and 120kW at 3600rpm. Fuel economy has been improved by as much as 11% over the previous model.
