There has been a management change around at Mercedes-Benz in the UK – which sees ‘car’ people swapping with ‘commercial vehicle’ people.
Following Andrew Mallery’s appointment to Marketing Director, Passenger Cars, Ian Dutfield, currently Director, Customer Services Commercial Vehicles, will become Commercial Operations Director at Mercedes-Benz World.
With Ian moving to a new role, the position of Director, Customer Services Commercial Vehicles is to be taken by David Joyce. David was previously Head of Training, and before this, Technical Manager.
Kevin West has been appointed to Group Aftersales Director Mercedes-Benz Retail Group, reporting to Mike Whittington, Managing Director Mercedes-Benz Retail Group.
Marcus Breitschwerdt, President and CEO, Mercedes-Benz UK, commented: “New vans, trucks and customer service initiatives mean we’re offering even more attractive products and services to new and existing customers. The time was right to make some senior management changes, to help us increase the service we give our UK customers. I’m committed to nurturing and encouraging the talent of our people, and the appointments announced today are some of the more visible changes we’re making to our UK business.”
