Eddie Stobart puts ECOSTRALIS to the Test
Eddie Stobart is putting two Iveco ECOSTRALIS tractor units to the test within its extensive transport operation.
The company says it will be closely monitoring the performance of the Iveco vehicles over the coming months. The trucks have been named ‘Sophie’ and ‘Lynda Dawn’, following a long-established tradition that all Eddie Stobart vehicles be identified by a unique girl’s name.
Both tractor units will operate from Eddie Stobart’s depot in Carlisle. Stobart expects the ECOSTRALIS will attract significant attention on the road, since they mark the first Iveco vehicles to join its current fleet of more than 2,250 tractor units. Both vehicles have been supplied by Iveco dealer North East Truck & Van and are expected to remain in service with Eddie Stobart for the next three years, clocking-up approximately 160,000 km per annum.
