Renault Truck Commercials, the company-owned dealer network for Renault Trucks in the UK has been on a recruitment drive. Two new recruits have joined the business, one for the South West and one for the South.
Mark Robbins has recently joined Renault Trucks South West after a a five year break selling Mercedes cars. A lifelong devotee of the motor industry, Robbins has been involved in the motor trade since leaving school. Starting out as a technician then a service advisor and then finally moving into sales.
Robbin’s truck experience was with MAN/ERF, selling new trucks for three years, covering several different areas in the south west.
Robbins commented, “I saw joining Renault Trucks Commercials as an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturer which is well received in the market place with an excellent dealer network with a strong mind set for customer service.”
Robbins was placed in the role by commercial vehicle dealer recruitment experts Focus People Solutions, Kath Humphreys from Focus commented, “The job involved covering a good area, selling a good product with a great network back up, and Mark fitted the brief perfectly. Robbin’s role as sales executive for HGV and LCV takes him across Bristol, Swindon and Gloucestershire.
Also placed through Focus People Solutions was Alan Shepherdson, covering south of the M40. Shepherdson has spent seven years with DAF Trucks, followed by two with Mercedes Benz Trucks in the North East of England. Family circumstances moved Alan to the South of England where he took up the position with Renault Truck Commercials. Alan comments, “The people in the depot are very friendly and helpful and the depot itself had a good feel to it, which I think is very important when it is somewhere you spend a good deal of your life.”
