CROSSROADS CUSTOMER SERVICE TO BRING 26% CO² CUT
|
Following an in-depth report commissioned from The Energy Savings Trust, Volvo Dealer Crossroads Truck and Bus, based in Birstall, near Leeds, has completely renewed its customer service car and van fleet.
When the update of the fleet, which includes low emission vehicles from the DRIVe range from Volvo as well as Ford’s ECOnetic range, is fully implemented, Crossroads estimates that average CO² emissions will fall by over 26%. Detailed analysis of the report from the Energy Savings Trust was carried out in association with vehicle fleet savings specialists Fleetworx.
“The renewal of the customer service fleet, which represents an investment of over £100,000, is one element in a series of initiatives which include improved tracking of fuel consumption as well as the ongoing development of our environmental transport policy,” says Crossroads Managing Director Martin Cronin.
“Customer service is central to our business philosophy,” he adds, saying, “Our much valued customers operate in one of the toughest business sectors – transport. We are very proud to work with them in such extremely difficult times when many are fighting for their business survival. This significant investment is aimed at ensuring that Crossroads operate efficient, environmentally-friendly technology as part of our customer service operation.”
