Colleagues of Mick Caven bid him a fond farewell from MAN Truck & Bus UK after more than 20 years of loyal service.
Sixty-seven-year-old Mick from MAN Truck & Bus Nuneaton was delighted to be presented with a specially-made model as part of his retirement, as it was the perfect reminder of his career with MAN.
Mick had been with the company since 1996 and in that time had various roles, from administration to front of house customer service, before progressing to calculator within the administration team.
He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at MAN. The people, the products and the thriving working environment have made it an enjoyable experience.
“I have seen MAN Truck & Bus progress through the years to the market leader it is today.”
About his retirement, Mick said: “I plan on putting my feet up for the next three weeks! My son is visiting from America next week which I am really looking forward to.
“In the future, I’m trying to convince my wife Maggie to let me buy an old Sierra to do up. Although I may not be working in the automotive industry anymore, it is a passion I will certainly continue into my retirement!”
Adrian Kerby, General Aftersales Manager, said: “I have known Mick for many years and found him to have a wealth of knowledge of the industry as a whole, as well as being a great character to have around the office.
“Me and his MAN Truck & Bus Nuneaton colleagues wish him all the best for his retirement and thank him for his dedication to the brand for 21 years.”
