Eco City Vehicles, the company behind the Vito Hackney Carriage that competes with Manganese Bronze’s TX4 black cab has struggled in recent months, with the trading in their shares suspended at the end of June. As a result, the modification of the Vitos will now to be carried out by Mercedes-Benz themselves. A sister company of ECV own the intellectual rights to the rear-wheel steering system that enables the Vito to compete in the black cab market that stipulates a minimum turning circle.
