Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced that its dedicated VW Van Centre network is growing again with the opening of a new, Van Centre in Ashford, Kent which represents a £1.6m investment and has created 20 new jobs.

The government agreed on Tuesday to bail out LDV to the tune of £5m in the shape of a four week loan. The bail-out was purely temporary so the company could finalise a rescue deal by Malaysian vehicles business Weststar.
